Zack, Danniel, Jase, Lem, and rest of the Committee: Thank you for all of your work on Pride this year, it was truly a wonderful event.
I do have concerns, some of which I have expressed to the Chairman, as a financial sponsor and as past treasurer of Pride. There was little to no financial reporting this year, such as public disclosure on this website of the revenues and expenditures, other than a single report in February. In 2007 and 2008, revenues and expenditures were reported no less than monthly, and weekly when public committee meetings were held. Also, I believe all contributors, from the largest to the smallest should be publicly recognized, as was done in the past with a sponsor's wall. Yes, it does take a lot of work to do so, but this is the minimal recognition that is standard within non-profit organizations. The financial accounting is an area that should be monitored regularly, with appropriate reporting submitted to the public on a timely basis. The event cannot be considered closed until a final financial report is produced. Thank you.

Hi Eric, as you mentionned we already spoke about it... I am as sorry as before that this was not done, and I did ask many more times again for them. As Presiding chair I will take the blame for having been maybe too gentle and not pushing more to get it published...
As of now I posted on the homepage a partial report myself that is visible to all. But I am still waiting for the final data.
Also we should soon get confirmation from Amnesty International of the final USD$ amount they received. I will all be posted as soon as I get it.

Is there, as of yet, any documentation regarding the total donation received by Amnesty?

They are currently working with LL to turn the amount into a check that will be hand delivered to their main office in Boston by the people managing their SL group in the first part of July. I've been told we would receive news then.
Thank you! Where can I view the accounts of the Second Pride Committee, and is it possible for the committee to issues receipts for the purposes of claiming donations on federal income tax in Canada and the US?
Congratulations again! By my calculations, there was over $60,000 UsD collected.

Woot! Just saw the spreadsheets and amnesty's web page. Two things I've learned thus far:
1. I shouldn't do math in my head.
2. That was some kick-ass fund raising!
