The work of the AHCC has unfortunately been stalled by a vacancy in one of the General Member Representative positions.

In the Second Pride 2010 Committee Meeting of 13 September 2009, Membership Representative Keokipele Ansar put forth a motion for the formation of an Ad Hoc Committee to review the current Charter. The motion passed unanimously.

N. In Consideration of Membership Chair’s Report
Keokipele Ansar reported that the Treasurer Election is September 24, 2009 and polls will be open for 24 hours.

The floor was open to the public for discussion for the AHCC and the following motions were made.

A "Crazy" Idea
There are many hard-working, talented, passionate people involved in day-to-day, Second Pride operations. Many of these people are on the current elected Committee. I deeply admire these people, so much so that I believe it is a shame that they often suffer needless distractions, mostly political in nature, that force them to spend time away from their activities related to raising funds for Second Pride.

Recently I have been researching various web hosting services. There is one in particular that I am absolutely in love with. It pretty much has everything. Recommendation for Enhanced Financial Reporting
I'd like to congratulate Eaglewoman on her recent election to the Treasurer position for Second Pride 2010. As a general Second Pride member, I have every confidence that she will perform her new duties magnificently. It is in that spirit that I make the following request regarding financial reporting. Suggestion for Governing Documents
I've been following several discussions regarding the Charter, the Treasurer election, proposals to eliminate the Ambassadors group from the Charter, and on and on. Something has been bothering me about the discussions. However, it wasn't until after attending today's Committee meeting for the first time, and after listening to a lengthy debate/discussion regarding the Ad-Hoc Committee to review the current charter, that I realized what's been bothering me. It's the fact that this organization has its Charter and Bylaws combined into one document.

As Members of SecondPride 2010 in good standing we wish the current SP Committee to consider placing the following amendment to the Charter before the General Membership for General review, debate and vote:

The Elswit Quimby Ambassador Amendment

1. Delete "A Second Pride Ambassador" and "The Second Pride Ambassador Role" under Staff Roles
2. Delete Ambassadors under Term Limits
3. Under Elections, delete Ambassadors, and change Section 2 and 3 to reflect the Chair and Committee members are elected by the registered general membership at large.

Charter Amendment: Oath of Office
Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
