Second Pride is dedicated to promoting education and awareness of LGBT issues of Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual health within our own community and the community at large, and chooses to confine itself and it's mandate to this scope. The rights of individuals are tantamount; however, the committee feels that its events and festival are not an appropriate venue for religious or political proselytism (attempts to convert people to one's own religion or point of view) and proselytizing will not be tolerated in any form; we ask participants to refrain from enforcing their views on others. This does not preclude that a view may be expressed or presented, but it should be done so within the confines of the policy stated in this paragraph.
The above statement is under consideration by the Second Pride 2010 Committee regarding participation at the Festival by potentially controversial groups, i.e. politically or religiously affiliated groups or "ideological groups."

Please share your comments, concerns or suggestions regarding this statement of policy.

We ask participants to refrain from forcing sectarian or partisan political views on others. This does not preclude that a view may be expressed or presented, but it should be done within the guidelines of the policy stated in this paragraph.
