I first became aware of Second Pride when I was asked by Marcus Steeplechase to participate in the Teahouse of the August Moon fundraiser. After reading more about the organization, I decided to become more involved because I respected its core mission, and I truly believed I could contribute to the organization's future development. However, it wasn't too long before I became aware of the horrible bickering and aggrandizement taking place on the Committee.

Still, with all of that on my mind, I still held out hope. It was because of the dedication of the person who attracted me to Second Pride in the first place. However, a few things have happened over the last day or so that I just cannot abide. Yesterday, when I responded to Isaiah Tolsen's vague and somewhat incoherent post regarding web domains, I was wrongly accused by a so-called Ambassador of possibly violating Second Life's Community Standards. This was someone I misguidedly lent my support to during his run for Treasurer. When this individual realized his error, he then sent a mean-spirited in-world message accusing me of harassing him by calling him out on his first accusation on this forum. But, he didn't stop at that. In-world, he proceeded to bait me into violating Second Life's Community Standards, something I simply would not do.

Finally, this morning, I read Isaiah's attempt to "school" me in the subject of how to be less arrogant, professional, etc, but his words exemplified everything he found distasteful in mine. As far as I'm concerned, this organization, Committee and Ambassadors, are liken to a pit of vipers. Most members of the Committee do not deserve nor shall you automatically receive trust.

It is with a heavy heart that I end my short relationship with Second Pride. I will no longer donate nor shall I provide any assistance whatsoever in SecondPride's fundraising attempts.
